R&D
ROBOTECH HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE A PARTNER IN INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH PROJECTS CO-FUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION. ALSO ACTIVE ON A NUMBER OF NATIONAL-BASED PROJECTS, MAINLY IN TUSCANY.
Robot-EraImplementation and integration of advanced Robotic systems and intelligent Environments in real scenarios for the ageing population, FP7-288899, 2012-2015.
Awarded the Well-Tech prize in 2014 at the Milan furniture exhibition, robots from the Robot-Era project are a personal robotic system to assist elderly people from the home to the town. The project is built around ROBOTECH DustCart; an urban robot with several uses: carrying shopping home, collection and transportation of garbage and help with walking.

DustBotNetworked and Cooperating Robots for Urban Hygiene, FP6-045299, 2006-2009.
The DustBot project has enabled development of a robotic system integrated with a platform for Ambient Intelligence to improve hygiene in pedestrian areas of city centres. The system consists of two robots, one for door to door collection of garbage and monitoring environmental parameters, and another, designed and developed by ROBOTECH, for automatic sweeping of pedestrian zones.
HydronetFloating Sensorised Networked Robots for Water Monitoring, FP7-212790, 2009-2011.
The Hydronet project was aimed at designing and producing a network of robots and sensors to monitor pollution of sea water, lagoons or lakes and rivers. For this project ROBOTECH developed a robot for autonomous navigation in river and lagoon and a water sampling system.
URUSUbiquitous Networking Robotics in Urban Settings, FP6-045062, 2006-2009.
Coordinated by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the URUS project has led to the development of a network of robots for the urban environment, cooperating for the transportation of people and goods. ROBOTECH designed and developed the head of the robot, i.e. the platform that brings together all the systems for human-robot interaction.
DustCleanRobot for automatic sweeping of urban or industrial areas, Tuscany Region POR CReO 2007-2013 Bando Unico R&D 2012
Co-funded by the Tuscany Region, the RoboSweep project is currently in progress and pursuing the development of the DustClean robot, with the aim of making it available on the market.
